• Compassion has special dates For Registration
• They take a limited number of students after Certain Tests in terms of the Volunteer’s Ability
• Registration dates are late August and early February.

Direct service volunteers who plan on being involved on a weekly basis are required to attend a Girls Inc. 101 orientation before being able to view and register for upcoming opportunities. Being a Big Brother or Big Sister is one of the most enjoyable things you’ll ever do. Not to mention, one of the most fulfilling. You have the opportunity to help shape a child’s future for the better by empowering them to achieve. And the best part is, it’s actually a lot of fun. You and your Little can share the kinds of activities you already like to do.

Play sports together. Go on a hike. Read books. Eat a pizza with extra anchovies. Or just give some advice and inspiration. Whatever it is you enjoy, odds are you’ll enjoy them even more with your Little—and you’ll be making a life-changing impact.

Who We Are: Dayle McIntosh Disability Resource Centers is California’s leading Independent Living Center. Our namesake and inspiration, the late Ms. Dayle McIntosh, was a person with quadriplegia. She only had use of her fingers and thumbs, yet she lived independently, held a job and volunteered her time to help others. Since we opened our doors in 1977, we have provided people with disabilities —of all ages and from all walks of life—with the knowledge, support, skills and tools to live richer, fuller and more independent lives.

What We Do: Very simply we help people with disabilities live independently and succeed in every area they desire. Dayle McIntosh Disability Resource Centers is not a residential program, but a consumer-driven organization that provides a broad menu of on-site and remote services.

We are kids, teens and young adults working together to make Diamond Bar a better place for us. Together, we are voicing our ideas and gaining the opportunity to make a change through community service. Leaders within our community support and advise our every step. We are part of the City of Diamond Bar's Youth Master Plan dedicated to developing youth leadership. By becoming active and involved, Diamond Bar is on its way to becoming a Youth oriented community!

In the Summer Time there is the Youth Volunteen Program

Friends & Helpers was created to support the families within our local shelters. We support our centers throughout the entire year. Our community outreach includes our Back to School and Adopt A Family Holiday Program. We assemble school supplies, snack bags, hygiene items and holiday gifts as a way to provide the families with items we often take for granted and they desperately need all year round. This is made possible by your donations, volunteer hours and company sponsorships.

(Non-Profit Horse Rescue) 

Hanaeleh is a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of horses. We rescue horses that would otherwise be sold to slaughterhouses, provide temporary foster care, promote horse advocacy, and manage a social network for all who share an interest in horses.

The Children's Museum is looking for fun-loving and dedicated volunteers who want to share their time and talents by joining our growing team of amazing high energy volunteers! Along with having fun and giving back to the community, there are many other perks to volunteering at The Children's Museum at La Habra.

In its 16th year, School & Youth Programs have given students the opportunity to help raise awareness and funds in honor of local patients battling a blood cancer like leukemia. By collecting spare change, kids involved with School & Youth Programs, have raised more than $211 million for research and patient services.

Founded in 1958, OneOC has a 50-year track record of encouraging people to become personally involved in making our community a good and welcoming place to live, work, and raise a family. Since our early beginnings, we have developed ways for people to best use their valuable time and talent to help others. Formerly called the Newport Bureau of Volunteerism, growing to Volunteer Center Orange County, we were the very first community service project of the Junior League of Orange County.

Today, we have grown and matured into the fifth-largest and most comprehensive of the 250 volunteer centers nationwide. We also enjoy a partnership with Points of Light Institute, HandsOn Network and California Volunteers.

CAPOC changes peoples lives, embodies the spirit of hope, improves communities and makes America a better place to live.  The agency cares about the entire community, and is dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other.

Mock Trial is an innovative, engaging and often life-changing civic education program that combines performance-based, law-related education with tournament-style, academic competition. High school students, working in teams under the guidance of volunteer attorney coaches and teachers, analyze the facts of a hypothetical criminal court case, prepare trial strategy and enact every role in the trial proceedings, either as members of the prosecution or defense. The teams present their cases in real courtrooms before sitting judges and are scored by volunteer attorneys. Over 750 high school students from 35 local high schools annually participate in the Mock Trial program that also includes courtroom art and journalism contests.

Volunteer at the Library - Teens can help at the library by shelving books, preparing crafts for children’s programs and story times, assisting with the summer reading program, or even teaching computer skills, among other opportunities. School on Wheels, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1993 by Agnes Stevens, a retired teacher. After reading Jonathan Kozol’s Rachel and her Children, Agnes realized the extent of homelessness in the USA. She began tutoring homeless kids in a park in Santa Monica, encouraging them to stay in school and participate in school activities.

The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2015 would not be possiblewithout the time and commitment of hundreds of volunteers. Their worksupports and celebrates the remarkable student teams that bring theirsolar-powered houses and passion to the Solar Decathlon.

If you are in high school or are enrolled in college, please inquire about our student volunteer program. Student shifts begin at 4 p.m. Monday - Friday, and as early as 7 a.m. on the weekends. The minimum age requirement to volunteer is 15 years old and you must be at least a sophomore in high school.

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring the next generation, especially the underserved population, by bringing them fun hands-on S.T.E.M. activities. Various summer and year-round volunteer opportunities are open. Depending on your position, you may volunteer from your own home, or travel around to various locations around LA and Orange County.
